Lord Change My Heart

God has a purpose for every season, including the waiting. Often times the periods of waiting are meant to prepare us for what is to come. We have to have faith that the season we are in will come to fruition all in God’s time, and that good will indeed prosper. We fill the time of waiting with intention, growth, learning, but also with rejoicing and celebration. There is a difference though between filling our time and passing the time. We aren’t filling the time during the seasons of waiting to simply get through them faster and keep ourselves busy. Instead, we fill the time during the seasons of waiting in order to allow intention to partner with a posture that is content with the present. We take up a posture that allows us to settle into that season instead of being in a hurry to get out of it. We take up a posture that asks God to change our hearts to rejoice and be thankful in the current season, and to be pointed to where He desires.

The song I mentioned is “Not in a Hurry” by Will Reagan. Give it a listen if you haven’t already!
