Jeremiah is one of my oldest family friends. He is encouraging, outgoing, and friendly to everyone he meets. I had the opportunity to work with him over the summer and this never failed to be true. He was always putting a smile on people’s faces and brought a positive energy every single day.

What does life look like and mean to you when you are fully remaining in Jesus?

To me, fully remaining in Jesus looks like a constant flow of His heart. He is always wanting to pour into us, if we meet Him with our time and our heart. Truly abiding in Him is being in a place of constant flow, where you are being poured into by His Spirit and then consistently pouring out to others. Loving out of a place of overflow from His heart.

In what ways do you connect with God on a daily basis?

Connecting with God for me is daily thankfulness. Waking up and just having a heart posture of thanking Him for who He is, realizing that every good thing in my life comes from Him.

Connecting with God during quarantine hasn’t looked much different. I would say besides reading scripture and worship, one way that I’ve connected with Him more is just being in His creation. I’ve been able to spend a lot more time outdoors and just see God in everything He created. From the majesty of the mountains, to the simplest of flowers. Seeing His heart and intentionality in every little thing is incredible.

Favorite Bible verse right now

“Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!

    Worship the Lord with gladness.

    Come before him, singing with joy.

Acknowledge that the Lord is God!

    He made us, and we are his.

    We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving;

    go into his courts with praise.

    Give thanks to him and praise his name.

For the Lord is good.

    His unfailing love continues forever,

    and his faithfulness continues to each generation.”

Psalm 100
